Corona - More than 70,000 deaths and injuries exceeding one million and 200,000 cases

As the number of new cases of Corona virus exceeded the threshold of one million and 200,000, the United States is preparing for two difficult weeks, with deaths due to the virus approaching ten thousand cases, while indicators in Europe are beginning to show a decline.


Data gathered by the World Meters website, which specializes in statistics for the number of new cases of coronavirus around the world, exceeded one million and 274 thousand as of Monday morning (April 6, 2020).





Site data showed that the number of people recovering was close to 265,000, and that the number of deaths approached 70,000. The United States leads the world in terms of numbers of cases, followed by Spain, Italy, Germany, France, China, Iran, the United Kingdom, Turkey and Switzerland.

The number of injuries in the United States exceeded 336 thousand injuries, in addition to 9,618 deaths, while Spain recorded 131 thousand injuries and about 12 thousand and 600 deaths. Italy also recorded 129 thousand injuries and about 16 thousand deaths. As for China, the first focus of the virus, it recorded 81,708 infections and 3331 deaths.

A glimmer of European hope, but ...

In Europe, the continent with the highest number of deaths, is emerging in the glimmer of hope in the global epidemic crisis, as it is witnessing a decline in the number of victims, while the United States is awaiting a very difficult week with the recognition of US President Donald Trump.

According to an AFP census based on official sources as of 11:00 GMT Monday, the total death toll recorded in the world was 70009, including 50215 in Europe, the continent most affected by the virus.

The state of Bavaria recorded the highest number of injuries, as it rose to more than 24,300 injuries, and 383 deaths, followed by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia with more than 20,500 cases and at least 258 deaths.

It is noteworthy that the average rate of injuries in Germany per 100,000 people is 115.4 cases.
